Providing Innovative Methods

Do you need low cost and efficient methods to increase and optimize production? Red River Compression offers an innovative method with the plunger-lift system (PLO). The energy that the well contains is used for the lift. Using a free-traveling plunger that travels from the bottom of the well to the surface facilitates the movement of the liquids which are pushed to the surface. A mechanical interface is provided by this system between the gas and the liquids eliminating liquid fallback and improving and boosting the well's lifting efficiency. Plunger travel is normally provided by formation gas stored in the casing annulus during a shut-in period. The tubing pressure is allowed to decrease as the well is opened and the stored casing gas travels around the end of the tubing pushing the plunger to the top or the surface. Red River offers this innovative method of an artificial lift system with the advantage of the plunger lift which does not need any help from external energy sources. This method facilitates better economics of operation and increased production as the requirements for power and fuel are reduced eliminating the need for auto start. Red River has enhanced this process with well head compression that helps and increases PLO operations economically.

Do you need knowledgeable and reliable suppliers of Gas Compressors? Red River Compression is a company who are experts in well head compression which sends raw natural gas to gathering stations for processing. Giving you experience with economical and smooth operations, Red River offers unique compressors with advantageous features such as Sound Abatement, Clean Burn Technology, Weather Beater Ghost Package, Plunger Lift Optimization and Internal Climate Control.

EIA Natural Gas Update

A major weather front from the north entered the Midwest and the East this week, bringing the coldest temperatures of the season to date. Increased space-heating demand in consuming regions led to gains in prices throughout the country with the benchmark Henry Hub price advancing on the week by 11 cents per MMBtu, or less than 2 percent, to $6.76. Regionally, market prices in Louisiana increased an average of 8.7 percent, or $0.54 per MMBtu, to $6.72. In the Midcontinent, the regional price recovered from extreme lows this fall season, rising by $1.74 to an average of $5.00, or more than 50 percent on the week. Increased demand in the Midcontinent is expected to firm prices softened by flows from the Rockies (through the Rockies Express Pipeline) and new production from shale formations. The abundance of supplies in the region has pushed prices below $3 per MMBtu at many trading locations since late September. Further to the west, week-to-week price increases also were considerable in the Rockies, where the advent of colder weather has eased concerns over an abundance of supplies and limited options for storage.

Red River Compression

Every citizen must have an environmental responsibility. Red River Compression continues to focus on this responsibility and has a long-term commitment in producing products that enable business and nature to progress and prosper together. Red River is proud to announce Clean-Burn-the first successful lean-burn system for small HP Natural Gas engines. Clean Burn exceeds federal, state and local regulatory emission levels without a catalyst. It is exclusive in reducing fuel use and greenhouse gas emissions by an incredible 34%. It also has the technology of lowering exhaust temperatures by 200 degree F. This is extremely good news for increased reliability and much longer 'mean times to failure' of the engine. This results in less overall maintenance costs and ultimately, more production.
Benefits

  • Minimum engine emissions
  • Reduced fuel consumption; better fuel economy
  • Reduced lube oil nitration
  • Improved engine performance
  • Minimized misfires and detonations
  • Trouble-free and longer equipment life
  • Better-managed, lower maintenance costs
  • Responsive, full-service support: 24-7-365

EIA Natural Gas Weekly Update

Natural gas spot prices increased on the week at most market locations, with increases of up to 76 cents per MMBtu. Since Wednesday, October 8, natural gas prices exhibited considerable resilience despite falling crude oil prices and the general softening of the economy. Factors contributing to the relative strength of natural gas prices likely include the imminent advent of the 2008-2009 heating season, a cooling trend in some parts of the Lower 48 States, and continuing production shut-ins of 2.7 Bcf per day in the Gulf of Mexico. However, there may be an unusual degree of uncertainty surrounding price expectations. The volatility in the financial markets seems to be contributing to heightened uncertainty in natural gas markets about the upcoming heating season. Additionally, downside risks to natural gas prices remain significant. With storage levels at 3,277 Bcf and 3 weeks remaining before the heating season, it appears increasingly likely that natural gas stocks will exceed 3,400 Bcf by October 31. Further, the impact of the softening economy on natural gas demand-particularly in the industrial sector-remains unknown.
